What exactly is a hero?
The concept of a "hero" seems to be more popular here in Rune-Midgard than what I am accustomed to. From what I can gather, "heroes" are those who selflessly protect others, or serve others for the good of the general public. They expect no reward for their altruism, but simply want to do anything they can to help others because they want to or feel inclined to. I suppose, by this definition, Edward could very well be seen as a hero.
He certainly had made a lasting first impression. I had been too careless, and it should have been my own problem to clean up. But even though he hadn't even known whom I was, nor did he have anything to gain, he hadn't hesitated to assist me. Since then, this altruism of his has remained consistently apparent, time and again - not just towards me, or towards his friends, but also for the strangers we have met thus far, even if he sometimes might go a bit overboard.
